The Housing and Development Board (HDB) launched for sale to developers in Singapore a land parcel at Tampines Central 7 in Singapore for tender on 23 Feb 2011.

Sim Lian are the same developers who won the previous two DBSS projects in Tampines estate where one DBSS Centrale 8 project was initially priced at a record high before the selling price was reduced after negative public feedback.

The per square foot price of the winning bid for Tampines Central 7 EC land works out to be about $392.45 per square foot of potential gross floor area.

Indicative selling prices for Tampines Central 7 EC will be much higher than that, of course. Expect the Tampines Central 7 EC project unit prices to set new records when it is launched for sale, due to its location.

According to a Business Times report, Sim Lian is planning to develop a 14- to 15-storey Tampines Central 7 EC project on the site with about 660 apartments (comprising two- to four-bedders) slated for launch in the first quarter 2012. The majority of units are likely to be three-bedders, with typical sizes of 1,100-1,200 sq ft.
